Church Fenton plays Flat Green Bowls in the Selby Bowling Association and the York Private Clubs Mixed Triples League. During the winter months we play Short Mat Bowls in the Selby Leagues.
We don’t have a dress code for Social or Club Competition Bowling, but we do play in greys and whites when playing in the Leagues. We consider ourselves to be a friendly Club and are always welcoming to new and prospective members.
For new members/guests we have sets of woods and some shoes available to borrow.
Visitors are always welcome.

Are there any other costs?
Every time you play in the league, you will be charged a playing fee of £1 per game.
If any non-member/guest wishes to play, the cost is £2 per person per session, which includes bowls hire and the use of bowling shoes if needed .
Apart from that there are no other costs, except buying your bowls and accessories should you decide to join (most members prefer to have their own bowls).
We charge £2 for the organised Monday evening Short Mat bowling sessions in the Clubhouse, to cover the cost of heating, lighting and refreshments.
As a member you can have free use of Club bowls, but you must not take them away from the Club unless you are playing in an away League match.
